How do you prepare a factory site for an important opening ceremony when space is limited and rain makes deliveries harder? This was part of Jabu Events’ corporate event management work for Infineon in Samut Prakan.
We managed the event from planning through to the ceremony. The job involved creating a suitable setting for the occasion and making sure the equipment arrived in time for setup.
The project
- Company: Infineon Technologies
- Event: Official factory opening
- Date: 1 October 2026
- Location: Samut Prakan, Thailand
- Our role: Corporate event management, from planning to the event itself
Infineon’s factory opening in Thailand
Infineon officially opened its new manufacturing site in Samut Prakan on 1 October 2026. Thailand’s Prime Minister, Anutin Charnvirakul, attended alongside Alexander Gorski, Infineon’s Chief Operations Officer.
The site forms part of Infineon’s global manufacturing network. For more about the factory and its role in the business, read Infineon’s official announcement.
For the team at Jabu, the task was to prepare an event that suited the importance of the opening while working within the limits of the site.
Corporate event management at a factory site
Holding a ceremony at a factory means working with the space available. There were limits to how much we could change the area, so the event design had to fit the location.
Our team prepared the space for the ceremony, with a stage, a large screen and a podium for the speeches. The screen displayed Infineon’s visuals and information for each part of the programme. A cube-shaped feature on stage formed part of the opening moment.
The event photographs show the finished setting, from the speech to the opening moment and group photograph. The stage gave each part of the ceremony a clear place within the available space.
For a company planning an event on its own site, it helps to start with what the space allows. That gives the design a practical starting point. Our event production services cover the design and setup needed to prepare a space for an event.
Corporate event planning around rain and travel
Getting equipment to the site was another important part of the work. Rain and difficult travel conditions meant we needed to allow more time for deliveries.
We checked weather forecasts, planned other delivery routes and added extra travel time to the schedule. This helped us get the equipment to the site in time for setup.
The lesson was simple: the setup plan needs to include the journey. A delivery schedule based only on normal travel times can leave little room for delays when conditions change.
Event management from preparation to the ceremony
The event included a speech by the Prime Minister, the official opening moment and group photographs. The finished stage provided a setting for each part of the programme, with Infineon’s identity visible throughout.
Our corporate event management work brought the preparations and the event itself together. The result was a formal opening ceremony at the factory site, despite the limits of the space and the extra planning needed for deliveries.
For anyone choosing an event team, the finished photographs tell only part of the story. It is also worth asking how the team will work with your site, plan setup and respond if travel or weather conditions change.
What should a company prepare before briefing an event team?
For corporate event planning, start with your event date, purpose, expected guest numbers, budget and site details. Share the schedule, speaker needs and any presentations or videos. Explain when the team can access the site and how much time is available for setup.
If some details are still undecided, say so. The first discussion can help identify what needs to be confirmed before the team prepares a detailed plan.
