Miss Equality World 2026 stage and runway with pink lighting By Jabu Events an event agency in Bangkok

Bringing an international event to Thailand means finding a local team that understands both the brief and the practical work behind it. As an event agency in Bangkok, Jabu Events brought together venue coordination, production and live execution for Miss Equality World 2026.

The competition welcomed contestants and representatives from multiple countries. For our team, the task was to connect the event’s international identity with the spaces, technical systems and on-site coordination needed to deliver it.

One Event, Two Different Settings

Miss Equality World 2026 moved from the Preliminary competition at Calypso Cabaret on 27 August to the Grand Finale at MGI Hall on 30 August.

Each venue called for a different approach. The Preliminary round centred on contestant presentation and judging, while the Grand Finale needed a larger stage environment, a runway and an audience layout suited to the final competition.

Jabu’s scope included stage and runway production, LED visuals, lighting, venue coordination and on-site event management across both settings.

What Does a Local Event Agency Bring to an International Project?

For an overseas organiser, having a team in Bangkok means having someone who can connect the event brief with the realities of the venue.

A stage layout affects where guests can sit. Screen positions affect what they can see. Lighting needs to work with the movement on stage, while the programme needs to allow for entrances, presentations and transitions.

These decisions belong in the same conversation. Discussing them together helps the organiser understand how a proposed design will work during the actual event.

Miss Equality brought those considerations into focus across two venues and two competition formats.

Looking Beyond the Stage Photos

When choosing an event agency in Bangkok, photographs are a useful starting point. They show the setting and the scale of a project. The next question is what the agency actually managed.

Ask which parts of the event sit within its scope, who coordinates the different teams and who is responsible for decisions on site. A clear proposal should make those responsibilities easy to understand.

For this project, Jabu connected the planning, production and live-show requirements. Our event production services cover the practical elements that turn an agreed design into a working event environment.

What Should You Share Before Requesting a Proposal?

You do not need every detail settled before starting the conversation. A useful first brief includes:

  • The purpose and format of your event.
  • Your preferred dates and any confirmed venue.
  • Expected guest or participant numbers.
  • The services you need the local team to provide.
  • Your working budget and decision timeline.
  • Any language, accessibility or presentation requirements.

If several teams are involved, explain who will approve the concept, budget and programme. This gives everyone a clearer starting point and helps identify what still needs to be decided.
